Regional Conference Focusing on Employment and Environment

Not sure if this community is as active as it used to be...but I'm posting this anyways.

I'm the co-chair of the Young Democrats of America 2005 Great Lakes Regional Conference. This conference will focus on issues in employment and the environment for the Great Lakes Region.
On behalf of the Albion College Democrats and the Michigan Young Democrats, I am proud to invite you to our Great Lakes Regional Conference sponsored by Young Democrats of America. The conference will take place April 1st through 2nd at Albion College. The conference will focus on the environmental and employment issues of the Great Lakes Region, which includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

The conference will begin with individual state caucuses. These meetings will facilitate discussions of employment and environmental concerns specific to your state. An Albion College Democrat from your state is prepared to present research on these issues. Following the students’ presentations, the caucus will be allocated time to discuss potential solutions.

After the individual caucuses, the Regional Conference will be held to provide an opportunity for each state to present its resolutions. Collectively, our region will set goals that are significant to young people and also encourage an increase in youth participation in politics.

We have invited state and local representatives from your state to participate in every caucus. The conference will also include a well-respected keynote speaker who is receptive to the needs of young Democrats.

This conference will allow you to share your ideas with fellow young people who are equally passionate about shaping environmental and employment policy. Embrace this opportunity to unite young Democrats in the Great Lakes Region.
